Ed Williams
Ed Williams Jr. was born in Detroit, Michigan, and raised by his mother under humble beginnings, while his father was estranged and battling addiction. As the middle child of three, Ed navigated the challenges of growing up in an underserved city, learning resilience, perseverance, and grit from an early age.
After several run-ins with the law, Ed’s late uncle, former WBC Champion Duane Thomas, inspired him to turn his life around. At 16, Ed began training at the historic Kronk Gym, where boxing became his lifeline. His dedication propelled him into a professional boxing career (12-1-2), with fights broadcast on national television (HBO PPV, Showtime) and a title win.
Beyond athletics, Ed pursued academic and professional excellence. In 2021, he earned an MBA from Louisiana State University Shreveport, and the same year received both PMP (Project Management Professional) and Six Sigma certifications. These achievements have equipped him to excel as a management consultant, working with top firms like Deloitte, and to thrive as a successful entrepreneur.
Today, Ed Williams inspires organizations and individuals through keynote speaking engagements, leveraging his life experiences, leadership expertise, and business acumen. He empowers audiences to overcome challenges, embrace discipline, and achieve transformational results, demonstrating that circumstances do not define potential and greatness is within reach for those willing to fight for it.
